How time flies! It seemed like yesterday when on October 2, 2006, we all lined up at the Hangar of the Arik Aviation Centre, awaiting the arrival of three brand new Bombardier CRJ 900.

A few weeks later, on October 30, to be precise, Nigeria’s new airline took to the skies with an inaugural flight on the Lagos-Abuja route.

One year later, five additional brand new aircraft, including four Boeing 737-700 joined the growing fleet.

As we roll out the drums to celebrate our first anniversary, we salute our conscientious staff and our valued guests for flying Arik Air.

We restate our commitment to run a safe, reliable and efficient airline.

With 65 flights daily and a fleet of 16 aircraft, we are clearly Nigeria’s largest commercial airline carrier.

In the days ahead, Maiduguri, Yola and Sokoto will be on the Arik route network.

Regional routes to West and Central Africa are next on the horizon for Arik-Watch this space!

Thank you for flying Arik Air.

We shall always look forward to welcoming you aboard.
