Arik Air, West and Central Africa’s largest airline, has introduced a special promo fare to celebrate His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ado Bayero’s 50 years on the throne as the Emir of Kano. The promo fare is for Lagos- Kano-Lagos and Abuja-Kano-Abuja routes.
The special fare which is valid for travel between Friday, June 14 and Sunday, June 16, 2013, will enable guests travelling on the Lagos-Kano-Lagos route to buy a return ticket for as low as NGN31, 876 and on the Abuja-Kano-Abuja route for NGN32, 565.
Announcing the special fare in Lagos on Tuesday, Arik Air’s Managing Director/Executive Vice President, Mr. Chris Ndulue, said this is the airline’s special way of appreciating the contributions of the Emir of Kano to the political and socio-economic development of Nigeria.
Ndulue commented: “We in Arik Air see Kano as very strategic to our operations and this explains why the ancient city was our first destination in Northern Nigeria when we started commercial flights in 2006. His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ado Bayero is a father figure in Nigeria and his reign has brought monumental developments to the ancient city of Kano and Nigeria in general. We identify with the Emir and the people of Kano on this special occasion of the golden jubilee anniversary”.
Arik Air serves Kano from both Lagos and Abuja daily.
