Cameroon’s economic powerhouse is a bustling port city devoted more to business than leisure, but it still contains some fascinating sights for travellers. The cultural attractions can be explored within a few hours, and we particularly recommend Doul’art, an impressive cultural centre and gallery opened in 1991.
The Douala Memorials and Water Park are also well worth a visit, whilst beach lovers should head to the city of Limbe in the South West, which enjoys some glorious stretches of sand fronting azure ocean.
