Arik Air, Nigeria’s leading commercial airline, is now visible on QPX, the management system for airfare pricing and shopping, allowing the availability and fares for Arik Air flights from New York and Lagos to be distributed through the ITA Software module.

QPX covers over half of all On-line Travel Agencies (OTA) and airlines in the US, sales which typically book through the GDS (Arik Air is currently present on Amadeus, Galileo and Sabre).
Other public ITA QPX users include tour operators (Accovia), travel search engines (TripAdvisor) and TMC’s (Carlson Wagon Lit Travel).

Arik Air launched its first stateside route from Lagos-New York on 29 November (2009) servicing the route with a new A340-500 on a three times weekly schedule. It departs New York-Lagos on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 22.00 from JFK T4, arriving into Lagos at 14.40 (following day).
